Laser
Scanner Microsaic’s
scanner technology is smaller and tougher than mirror
based laser scanners. Microsaic’s technology
integrates optics with robust cantilevers to produce
a tough laser scanner on a silicon chip that is extremely
thin and flexible, and highly suitable for non-invasive
applications:

Tuneable
Laser Widely tuneable
lasers are essential elements of DWDM and wavelength-routed
optical systems. Microsaic has developed a tuneable
laser prototype in collaboration with Marconi Communications.
This miniature tuneable external cavity laser diode
is constructed to act as an agile frequency source
in dense wavelength division multiplexed (DWDM) optical
telecommunications systems.
Microsaic’s tuneable laser
offers a reduction in size and cost, combined with
an improvement in stability and reliability.
